Thanks Mr G and evensb - that took some time - needed a lateral thinker - dipping into Ohio !. I got stuck in WV - following the clues - had thought about the McCooks but disregarded them.
By the way - do you know the record for the time taken to get the correct answer on this thread ?

We've decided to stick with the one time only rule for now. Plenty of airfields left.
The reason for the 'rule' and the list(s) which MReyn24050 kindly maintains for us, is to keep a poster from having to review the entire exhaustive thread(s) in order to find the pic he wanted to present had already been presented.
.................
A review of this post in the first Which Aerodrome thread may be instructive:
Which Aerodrome?
Moderator note: In the interest of keeping this thread running smoothly please observe the following 'rules'.
- A historic picture of an aerodrome will be posted. Newer pictures are allowed but the theme here is to compare/contrast old with new as well as identifying aerodromes which no longer exist.
- The person who correctly idenitifies it will be declared the 'winner' by the original poster.
- That winner shall either post another challenge or declare the floor open. Anyone may then post the next challenge.
- There will only be one challenge running at a time.
MReyn24050 has been kind enough to create a page which tracks previous challenges: http://www.geocities.com/artificer35...0108.htm?20085
Cheers,

As suggested elsewhere by evansb, which aerodrome is this?
As in Which Cockpit, lets try to use elderly photos and not Google Earth pics.

Have read the rules and definately on best behaviour! I'm going to pass on the nice offer to take a turn as my pic is hardly historic. Also, tomorrow, I'm going overseas for a while and have not yet established if I will be internet challanged. I'll join the game again when I get back.
Back to you Brian.

Aerodrome List
Thank you Evileyes for your kind words.
Unfortunately Geocities wanted to charge for the use of their server so I moved the list to:-
http://www.artificer356.co.uk/WhatAe...010110a%29.htm
Access can also be gained via the sticky "What Cockpit and which Aerodrome latest lists". Which also covers the "What Silhouette" thread.
