3 Sqn 1st 5's Uniform Patch - does anyone recognise it ?

Hi Guys,

I found this patch amongst a bunch of flight stuff from my father. He was a pilot in the RAF from about '59 - '71

I have no idea what it is or how it came to be amongst his items

The Patch is about 6,5 Inches diameter.

All the Best

Looks like a Jet Provost. I would hazard a guess it was a 3 Sqn at a Flying Training School, probably Cranwell who got the first JP Mk5s in about 1970.
