Donald Jack's "Three Cheers for Me"

Donald Jack's "Three Cheers for Me"
aka "The Bandy Papers - Vol 1".
"Chairborne 09.00hrs" kindly sent me his copy a few days ago. Set in WW1, it tells the tale of a hapless Canadian RFC Camel pilot who somehow manages to extract victory from the jaws of disaster - both in the air and socially on the ground. It's an excellent read.
In the spirit in which Chairborne 09.00hrs sent me the book, if anyone out there would like it, please PM me and it's yours.

To find copies of the books, I'd suggest placing a wanted ad in any online Canadian classified ad site (Craig's list, etc). Better still, if you have friends or family in Canada, get them to go to any used book store -- there are usually copies available.
Agree with all the above; one of the best sets of aviation humour you'll find anywhere.

Interesting that site shows Me Among the Ruins as Vol 3.
I had () Three Cheers for Me (Vol 1), Its Me Again (Vol 2), Thats Me in the Middle (Vol 3) and Me Among the Ruins (Vol 4) in paperback some time ago.
Only caught up with Me So Far last year.
Anyone know why the difference in volume numbers?

The Bandy Papers
I managed to pick up the whole set from Amazon Canada when I was visiting the provinces last summer. I first read them in my youff but stupidly 'boot sale-d' them during a major clear-outin the 80's. Got rid of all my Nevil Shute's too. Silly sod.

If you login to the Sybertooth website you will find everything you need to know about Donald Jack and the Bandy Papers. The website is run by Chris Paul who is currently re publishing the Bandy books along with other works by Donald Jack. PS. I got copies of the books from the Tesco website.
