I go for the Aerotalleres Guarani Paraguay 1 from Paraguay. Intended as trainer and first flown 1981

A dream come true!

The story of the first airplane built in Paraguay

Commander Airman Joseph Repka Kusi, Paraguay, born in the town of Carmen del Parana, is also a pilot, an entrepreneur in the business of pharmacies. With a broad smile, very willingly agreed to this interview and we detailed overview of the great accomplishment of the participant was 24 years ago to be exact-at the end of 1981. The fruits of labor were turned into reality, and enlivened the "first aircraft built entirely in our country"

How did the idea of building the first airplane Paraguay?

Aero-company workshops in Guaraní, who was in partnership with Mr. Walter Fagundez and it was exactly with this friend and partner, we came to the project.

How long did the construction?

"From the years 1979-1981.

"It was built entirely in Paraguay?

"Yes, the design, as each piece, were forged and armed with Paraguayan labor. Only the propeller and engine were imported from abroad.

What date was his first flight and who was the pilot?

"The first flight took place in the old Silvio Petirossi Airport, 27 November 1981 and had the great honor of being the test pilot of that plane.

What name was baptized the first plane built?
ZP-Al-XEA prototype, was called "Paraguay 1.

* What do the letters ZP-XEA?

-ZP means that your nationality is Paraguayan and letters mean experimental XEA advanced military version.

Who helped in construction?

"The mechanics and helpers: in short, all officials of Guaraní Workshops aero worked under the direction of Mr. Walter Fagundez and mine.

Is the plane still flying?

"It was donated to the Flight Club Deportivo Yvytu, San Bernardino and still flying.

Blimey, you boys (or it is boy?) are slow..... I know there's work to do... but.....

LHR TAF for 0700 tomorrow - scattered, prob 40 light snow, 1200m.

Small prob heavy snow 2100 tonight until 1200 tomorrow.

No problem for a big jet.
