In the meantime it will help if I say it was not European.

so it was crescent shaped?
Looks that way to me mate, but as far as I know this is the only photo of it on the web.

There seems to be a book about it, and the cover has a picture; seems to be a painting, though Taking Flight: The Fisher Monoplane and Early Aviation in the Wellington Region by Paul Maxim - ISBN: 9780958205351 (Misc - South Pacific Books)

He has mate, but as he is reliant on LM to post his next image, LM wanted to be sure we were happy to wait for him to get home, as the image is on his home pc. Otherwise I think RD would have gone Open House.
