- designed by J.D.Akerman (with input from VEF) and built by VEF.
- fixed undercarriage, primarily wood construction, suitable for communications duties, light bomber and a multi-engine trainer.
- construction began in 1937.
- Sept.4, 1939 - first flight of the JDA-10M, conducted at Spilve by Karlis Alksnis.
- Pilot J.Abolins, who flew the JDA on a number of occasions, reports that on the takeoff run the aircraft had a strong tendency to pull to the side which had to be countered with unbalanced throttle to the two engines.

The late shift strikes again! Well done John, it is the Morgan Aeroworks Cougar from Australia. Despite its appearance it is actually an all metal 4 seater.
