I searched for a limit to the number of entries or something but found nothing...so I will indulge in a supplemental attempt.
A Schelde S.20, perhaps?

HappyPass there is no entry rule (the only one is the PPRuNE rule, that stipulates that you cannot post more often than every 120 seconds )
The challenge is not Schelde S.20 but you are on the correct side of the Atlantic now. I can see what you are seeing, but you cannot see that this one has no twin booms .

Skytrain not French, and it did not come from the same source, Just new camo scheme of my posts to derail you. More continental if you get my drift .
And it did fly. 148 km/h, max height 2300 m.
Edit to say that there is, however, a certain commonality with my previous post.

HappyPass we seem to have lost the most part of our resident attendance. Some of the regulars are away from their computers, so this will be a quieter than normal week.
The challenge is not an easy one. Te rule is that the challenge needs to be pictured in the web, This one is, but you wouldn't find it by googling - you need to find the site and see the picture there. In case of non-English sites (as this would be) you probably will need to do your search in the language in question.
But don't give up. This is great fun. I took me almost a year to find a couple of the tricks, and some more.
So, I'll give you this: This is a Russian university student project from the 1950s. Go find it. If you need clues, come and ask. I'll help you as long as I stay awake.

RegDep thanks for all the infos and tips, it is great fun indeed!
my last googling attemps were in the right direction (first Poland, then Russia) thanks to the "continental" tip, but I still have some way to go.
Being an aviation enthusiast (even if more interested in flightsims and airliners than in vintage, but with a soft spot for failed concept planes) I think I will pay a visit to this thread from time to time... and will try my best to polish my skills and sharpen my brain!
Best regards

Guten Tag Reg,
Following up on those clues you gave
I find the Kharkov Aviation Institute's HAI-17, a student project of 1957 led by VV Reshetnikov.
I'm sorry, but I'll have to ask for another Open House as I'm going to be in meetings all morning, but I'll get back when I can.
