The End For Former Dan Air 146 'HT

Anyone who worked for Dan Air or handled the first pair of 146s they operated, circa 1983 ('MN and 'HT) might, like me, be slightly saddened to read of the demise of 'HT some time ago.

http://www.smiliner.com/features/paukn/crash.shtml

The source of much pride at the time, (and, I understand, the first aircraft DA bought new), they worked IT flights out of MME at weekends, and were accompanied by a large box trailer full of spares to fend off tech. delays. The One-Four-Sick...

Does anyone else have memories of these aircraft at DA?

Angel Thanks for the Info

Sad news of the demise of honky tonk as i used to call it, I started flying HT on the10/03/1987 with the very best fleet manager that there ever was Capt Laurie buist. Sadly Laurie Is no longer with us in this world, Aviations loss. My last flight with this aircraft was 25 /06/1992. I had many different experiences over those years with many different people some very funny and some not quite so.

BJXJ went to Britannia in about 1987/88. I flew on her from Kefalonia to Manchester in '89.
