Whew !! I was beginning to worrie that all players had met an early demise!
Yes, evansb, this is the Boeing F3B. 74 produced and in squadron service with the USN.

Just had a moment or 2 free to check back on this thread. Thought of the 748 first, but felt sure it had been done hence the lateral progression to Freddie's disastrous effort.
Should have remembered that wonderful old adage: if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, flies like a duck, then it probaby is a ( expletive deleted!) duck.
Off back to the grindstone,
