As with many GA types, several variants were produced, some with uprated engines, some RG, some fixed. One model does indeed have constant speed prop.

Perhaps we need a final clue to prevent the challenge overstaying its welcome.
An anagram of the aeros team name is:

'Needs arsonist'. The 2 word answer shapes up thus:

--- ----------
and a clue is 'colour feelings'.

Find the team, find the aircraft.

It's a race to the finish!

Well, that would make it the General Avia F22C, but owing nothing to my recognition, (and 1 extra S in your anagram!)

Assuming I am right, I would feel fraudulent to accept, and have nothing to offer, so open house.

Well done Fitter2. It is indeed the General Avia F22A, 'Pinguino', designed and built in Italy and the mount of The Red Sensations. This one is currently on our club fleet and a most enjoyable aircraft to fly. Open house it is.
