What Cockpit? MK VI
Six throttles. Possibly from your namesake's design bureau? The ANT-20bis?

That clue would suggest the Ju 89, but I'm finding it hard to see that cockpit as one of a 4-engine LR bomber..........it's a bit sparse, even for 1936, and are there 4 throttles?
Note that I did not write that the Do 19 and the plane in question were intended for the same war. The head of state wore a moustache as well however when the challenge plane was flying.

MReyn,
of course. Must have been a real experience to ride in one of these giants... I sometimes wonder if it would not be feasible to rebuild one of these out of CFR instead of aluminium and fill it with helium instead of hydrogen, certainly there is one or another paying passenger to be found...
Your control, before I drift too far away...
