Image Posting on PPRune - some tips for you
Thanks, crun.Odd thing is, when I just tried it I too got page not found, but a friend of mine used it and phoned to say he'd got the piccie. Wierd, I shall persevere. Cheers O Xenos
oxenos,
That is probably because you are copying the direct link URL from the thumbnail in your Photobucket album.
Double click your thumbnail and it will come up as a full-size image. Copy the direct link URL from there and the image should now appear full-size when you post it.

Help. I've been trying to add a photo to a post and it keeps coming up as a thumbnail.

Re- Sizing Pictures
Download Irfanview free, it does resizing, scratch removal, background colour changes and a host of other things. Probably not as good as Photoshop but very adequate for individual simple pic corrections.

Test:
I have a choice of URL to use on my 'photo dump'
They are:
Dumpt - Image Host
Dumpt - Image Host
[img=http://www.dumpt.com/img/files/9m8lguhgcjofrepfy59e_thumb.png]
and
<a href="http://www.dumpt.com/img/viewer.php?file=9m8lguhgcjofrepfy59e.png" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.dumpt.com/img/files/9m8lguhgcjofrepfy59e_thumb.png" border="0" alt="Dumpt.com"/></a>
I don't think I can get any of these to work with the 'Insert Image' icon at the top of the reply editor.
What obvious mistake am I making?
.png?
how can it be that hard?

Tinypic does provide six different resizings and a default, of wich the one aimed for 'message boards' are 640x480!
The resizing is to be chosen as the first after the picture have been picked!
