Anyone got a 5 FTS crest?

I'm looking for a scan/picture of the squadron crest for No. 5 Flying Training School as based at RAF Oakington in the late 50s and early 60s. Can anyone help please?

Cheers.

Haven't been able to track one down. The College of Heralds may be able to assist - they design all the badges for the armed forces. Alternatively, the RAF Historical Branch may be able to assist.

If you haven't seen it, this site - http://www.rafweb.org/FTS.htm - gives a history of 5 FTS.

I thought I remembered a 5FTS plaque on the wall at my ATC squadron, we were there at camp in the early 1970s, here is a photo of it.

sedburgh, you're a star for sure - at last I know what it looks like! Thank you very much indeed.

I'd rather hoped it would have something more glamorous on it than a bleedin' seagull though!

I spent my ATC summer camp there in 1972. Circuits and bumps in a Varsity and Exercise Manmaker.

The crest reminded me the NAAFI was called the Seagull Club.
