Don't know about brilliant pics...

But while trying to get an interior shot of the Teal flying boat at MOTAT, another ghostly image from New Zealand's aviation heritage appeared.

Superb photograph of the Spitfire MK V conversion to a floatplane. If memory serves me right, Folland did the conversion.

Yes they did,I live in Hamble Le Rice,not 100yards from the slipway it was launched from. I have some old black and white photo's from my fathers days with Supermarine arond 1930 I think if you would be interested?

Now this must have been somewhat hairy.....

I understand it was the job of the Flight Engineer to sit on the wing and hook up to the Cruiser's hoist whilst the pilot maintained formation with the ship.
