F-105 Flaps

I am currently working on restoring an F-105 Thunderchief for static display. One of the biggest problems we have right now is figuring out how to hang the flaps on the wings. After a lot of soulsearching we are not close to a solution, but it may look like the wing needs to come off. Anyone out there with any 105 experience who can shed some light on the problem.
We are also looking for the front instrument panel, side panels are complete, but the front panel has been completely destroyed by the Air Force on decomission...

Any help appreciated

I presume you've tried the manuals? See here or here.

Dunno if this will help at all, but Castle Air force museum here in California has one on display, and they may be able to help you out.

And another thought - PIMA museum (Davis Monthan) will likely have spares etc.....

You could also try the IWM at Duxford - they have a 105 which they assembled on-site. Someone may remember how it was done.

Here's their e-mail address;

Best of luck!
