Seems that the Qantas "RRRedeye" special from Perth to Melbourne had to divert to Adelaide due to an engine shutdown on monday morning.
Anyone know any more details?

It was VH-EAN which landed at ADL (at 0437) then went into maintenance at ADL. Not sure of the outcome. According to the YSSY board:

"It was grounded in Perth for a long time due to #2 eng surging (i think) (from the west australian) and now #1, someones head is going to be hung in heavy maint."

One of the reasons VH-EBA has been thrown into ops early is to cover the operations of EAN.
