Maybe the US military and ATC do have something to learn from Australian military and ATC
Australia has an ATC, who knew? ;)

The wreckage would fall in the ocean, However if you fly the flight path of the C17 and the 135's the wreckage would fall directly on Yarrabah township with a population of 2505 (2021 figure).
