Have the ALAEA reached an In-principle agreement for LAME EA11? Pay Freeze?

I thought this was a pilot’s forum |
It is, and your problem with shandy's question is?

I'd have thought it was pretty obvious.
Wage policy adherence seeing JQ just signed off , Network open and both Mainline EAs to go. If you're not covered by it, don't click to read it. |

The company doesn’t want multiple employee groups conducting PIA over the Xmas period. One would think as the ALAEAs PIA never went to more significant actions then the agreement reached was on their terms. Maybe the in principle agreement “technically” follows the wage policy but includes hidden sweeteners that make up for it, which I believe was what the EFA Pilot’s agreement included.

I’ve not seen any wage policy adherence from QF Group pilot EA’s.
- EFA got a 5% ‘all purpose allowance’ in lieu of two 2% pay rises. - JQ got a 6% ‘BOOT allowance’ in lieu of two 3% pay rises. The wage policy is a lie. |

Yes, but an allowance doesn’t compound on the next EBA’s base pay. It’s good to get the money in hand this year, but you’re gipping yourself thousands in a few years time. But I can appreciate the realities of todays industrial environment. We copped the pineapple during COVID/administration but the sentiment in the group now is already ‘vote no’ and our next EBA is still years away.

Interesting to see:
Some Qantas executives appear to understand the situation with Qantas Loyalty chief Olivia Wirth, who is seen as leading candidate to replace Joyce if and when he ever decides to leave the company, thanking staff at a recent “Town Hall” meeting. “We know you could work elsewhere and you have chosen to stay” she said as she thanked staff this way a dozen times during her address. |
Congratulations to all the Qantas engineers! You stuck in there stayed United…..something the group pilots aren’t…..
