Qantas Link/Eastern Airlines - Dash 8 painted in Jetstar Colours

In the Hawker hangar at Cairns; aircraft at the front was Dash 8, VH-TQM, still registered to Eastern Airlines but painted in Jetstar livery..

Is the Eastern name about to disappear?

Eastern still exists as an AOC and all of the Q200/300's are operated under the Eastern AOC. The Q400's are operated under the Sunstate AOC.

TQL and TQM are both in CNS for maintenance prior to repaint into QLink colours. They have been stored in TMW for close to 2 years prior.

They were the Dash 8’s operated by Jetstar Regional in New Zealand.

They need them to operate to Lord Howe Island.
