Beautiful Sound

What a beautiful sound it is to hear aircraft flying overhead into Brisbane again.
I live 33 nm South under the track into BNE and for many months now there has been very little to listen to in the way of jet air traffic.
At last I can now hear plenty of traffic but nowhere near as much as used to be.
The nice thing about it is that I now know that quite a few of my Airline Fraternity are back at work and sooner than later a lot more to come.
I will be a lot happier when I hear a lot more traffic overhead.
Best wishes to all of you that have started again and good luck to those who will eventually return.
Merry Xmas to all.

Nice sentiment Rod. I look forward to creating some noise for you when I get back to work. Merry Xmas to you.

Thanks Rod!

I’ll be sure to give you the Airbus howl from the speed brakes for sure! Have a good Chrissy too!

As someone who has been lucky enough to be flying the last 9 months, I must admit, I have never enjoyed slowing down or getting crossing times or vectored. Until now.

I also miss the traffic.
But the best one I miss was the AKL-BNE A380 late in the afternoon which ceased some time before COVID

601, I live near Target Springwood which is the inbound vfr point for ABAF and on the extended 10 centre line. I also used to enjoy seeing the A380 nearly every afternoon about 5.15
doing a gentle turn onto a 01 final for BNE. I still want to be on that Emirates flight one day.

Harrowing; I have sat on the upper deck many times on the EK AKL-BNE service. Frustrating now that the pulled off the route - supposedly it was to minimise the 'cycles' the A380 was doing. They always had good loads as it left Auckland at a decent hour, and had a decent belly full of freight.

And I used to enjoy the 380 climb out over my place (Beerburrum) or its early arrival in the morning - very distinctive sound.
