Group of Australian pilots to start virtual airline
Group of pilots to start virtual airline
There seems to be a group of pilots, starting a virtual airline, who might be trying to fill in, where V2 won’t be flying. (could they be working in with JetRaro?) Guess they don’t need to be paid for a while, so would have to be pilots who don’t have big expenses like big mortgages to pay. Presume they’d use Virgin mark 2 or Rex jets aircraft. No word on routes, frequency or start date. Speculation ? NZ, Pacific Islands or could they even fly to LAX using VA 773s ? There are a lot of routes, especially out of BNE, where VA was dominant carrier, eg. Queenstown, Dunedin(only operator) + also BNE & MEL to Fiji. Plus QF will be only carrier BNE/LAX. Viable ? Possibly, if they keep overheads very low & keep it simple. For NZ/Pacific, they could do out & back. LAX ? Well the VA 773 (did VA own 4 & lease 1 ?) aren’t going to sell for very much or in a hurry. The owner of the leased aircraft, might actually like to see their 773 doing something. Crewwise, could probably use 1 crew to LAX & same crew back 2 days later, with aircraft parked at LAX. |

You should be able to block the ISP address
On another note, Pilots can’t run airlines. |
And....Ex 'Service' personnel cannot run flying businesses either.......
They really have no idea of the commercial ramifications of running a business. Just look at 'our regulator' for proof!!!!!!! No Cheers here....... |
Oh FFS......

Give me strength ... this HAS to stop!!!!!

There must be a discount on line spacing at the moment.

20 or so years ago there was an account held by someone called L1011, who was starting up a trans Atlantic airlines using Tri-stars (and this was at a time when triples were too fuel inefficient). The same bloke was eventually sent to prison for ripping wannabe's off with some type rating scam. He must have got out of prison and moved down under.

Classic Asperger syndrome. By all means flame him (it is a 'him' I think, definitely not a 'them') but let him run for a while to get it off his chest. Or really make the point by simply not replying.

I remember chatting with a bloke once who described himself as a "senior pilot" with an airline. After a little digging turns out its was a virtual airline using virtual ATC on MS FS.

I got the username wrong but found this; must be the same person https://www.pprune.org/902837-post1.html
And this link sounds very much like the mind of BNE http://flytristar.tripod.com/article/art06.html |
Do a Google search for 1stjet.com.au or snoworld.com.au, and there’s your man, BNEA320/TT738/Boeing7107.

Yeah, 'cause with two airlines with hundreds of grounded aircraft and thousands of laid-off pilots itching to fill even the smallest demand hole, it's a GREAT time to start a new airline.....
Oh, and if the Snoworld connection is right, he's pushing package ski-holidays in.... The USA!!!! Delusional hardly describes it... |
