Compass Airlines/Airways?
I don't know how or why but these pitched up whilst sorting through old papers. I cannot find anything on the internet as it preceded that. Bring back memories to anyone?

Wasn't this Compass Mark II? I seem to recall they had big Airbus in the early 80s.
|
Compass Mark 1 started with Airbus300’s in 1990.
Compass Mark 11 (originally Southern Cross) started in 1992 with MD82’s |
...and Douglas Reid went to jail for creative accounting aka fraud!
|
No WA. I hope you go broke! :} Oops, sorry, you did...
|
That was probably for good reason?
|
I'm totally lost. There must be a story somewhere.
|
Still have some Compass stickers. Waiting for Compass Mk III & I'll make a killing! :}
|
Still 2 of the best place that I have worked. If it wasn't for the connection between Sir Pete A. and Mr Bob H. Ansett would not have made it past Christmas 1991
|
flew Compass Mark 1
BNE/MEL on Sun at 0435 & back Fri 2200 Down on an A310 (painted white from memory) & back on A300-600 in Compass colours. |
I'm totally lost. There must be a story somewhere. Thanks for posting the brochures. I am sure that it brings memories for some. I hope that explains it! |
Thanks for that. It closes the book.

Those airfares were cut-throat back then too! I can't understand how pilot wages (and everyone else's) have been on a decline since then :ugh:
Would normally fly AAE (Australian Air Express) in those days  The 72 would get you to most capitals in Oz for a carton :ok: |
