Tahiti easing up
Understand local lockdown finished on the 24th May - all businesses open, resumption of inter-island travel. Maybe some restrictions on wining & dining after dark (?)
Plan is to restart international flights around 1st July - probably only Air Tahiti Nue to start with - still working on regulations but will almost certainly require a test to see if you have the Covid plus temperature checks. No deaths and not many cases but widespread economic issues |

I believe they're looking closely at both options. Over 5000 people are out of a job in the tourist trade and Bora Bora especially is very hard hit economically.
For obvious reasons they'll want a flight to Paris fairly soon - possible running via the French West Indies again to avoid the USA but if it's tourists they want then the major sources are the USA (circa 46%), France (30%), EU (13%) - Japan, NZ and Australia only provide 4-5% each |
