A little close...
You'd be a little nervous seeing

Gringo would've been going mad! :}

I think it’s the case that 9-11 images are burned in everyone’s minds and even though we know it’s a display we all feel queasy looking at it. I think some in those buildings would feel very uneasy.

|
Yep no risk in that I’d say.....:{ |
How many times was that practised in the Simulator?
Is it any different to the F18's and Roulettes threading their way through the Gold Coast high rises during Supercar weekend? |
Should be more of it! :ok: PS - Nice to see this thread "cleaned up"! |
Carefully planned and skillfully flown. Go RAAF!
|
Different angle. |
Folks,
Aeroplane flies slowly down the middle of a river at safe height, in CAVU conditions, then climbs away. Why all the fuss?? Tootle pip!! |
And it had been practiced and advertised for Riverfire...

Boy is that city architecture just as crap as Melbourne. :yuk:
This year the C-17 was late for its time-slot for the F1 GP. People knew it was meant to arrive but like myself had lost interest looking up into yonder at nothing. The net result when it did finally make its entrance completely unannounced and at speed was spectacular to say the least. I was high up at the pavilion near the cricket pitch that was being used by the helicopters, I thought it comical that the pilot rolled his/her wings over the cricket pitch flood lights (he/she was high enough, but I guess he/she wanted to be sure). It was a nice bit of flying and I got a video of them on their second pass which wasn't as low but still as spectacular, even my European friends who viewed my video think we are all mad down here, but it was a lot of fun. Well done ladies and gentlemen, I hope you can tease us again in 2019. |

Don't mind a good display, have flown a few, but not sure how that was cleared by the regulator. When it works well, everyone is happy, when it doesn't then there are a lot of tears and recriminations. Hope the authorisations were solid for everyones sake.

Best display by far was the Huey crew at the Indy cars with the legendary sign out the sliding door. lots of fallout for the crew, but best fly by ever. Circa 2004 |
aint that the truth

If by "the regulator" you mean CASA, they have no say in the matter. This and similar displays are entirely military affairs, much as I am certain CASA would like to stick a spoke in the wheel, thankfully they do not get the opportunity. Tootle pip!! |
Thank god CASA wasn’t involved it would have done a slow speed flypast at 2000ft and a high speed at 5000ft. As lead said casa have no say in it and it shows, good job! |
