Just noticed an afap ad with an email address at penjet.com.au


Is this a fictional airline?

If a company with B1900, a C441 and King Air can't print their name on the advert it's probably not a good indication solvency/honesty or integrity.

It may even be someone trying to act as an agent and will pedal your CV to everyone they can. With a fee for succesful hire of course.

They operate vh-bic - a few guys have gone on to successful airline careers ��

Sorry mate, obviously my lame attempt at a tongue in cheek joke failed.
I was implying (jokingly of course) that some people may have BIC hours (as in made up BIC pen hours in the logbook)) and then linking that to an operator calling itself penjet...pen...bic...

Showing your age now. Back in the day VH-BIC was all the go :ok:

I notice that the forums occasionally post adds with nefarious dubious descriptions that appear to be trawling for resumes.

Makes you wonder how they got this ad posted.

A quick Google of the domain owners name might shed some light on that theory.

Perhaps this penjet name is broad hint that its a temporary
name until they decide what name to use?

Rossair teams up with AusJet Aviation to resume flight operations

Rossair grounded its fleet of Cessna 441 Conquest, Beechcraft 1900D and Embraer EMB-120 Brasilia aircraft after one of its Cessna Conquest twin turboprops crashed near Renmark, South Australia.

The company’s chief pilot Martin Scott, experienced pilot Paul Daw, who was undergoing a check flight, and a representative from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Stephen Guerin, were killed in the accident. There were no survivors.

AusJet is based at Melbourne Essendon Airport and operates Super King Air B200, Gulfstream G450, Fairchild Merlin and Embraer Legacy 600 aircraft, according to its website.

It services government, corporate and private clients and conducts fire reconnaissance and scanning, aero medical retrieval, power line aerial scanning, military target towing, air freight and aircraft management.

AusJet chief executive Jonathon Moloney said the company had been talking with Rossair on joint operations in South Australia for some months.

“It soon emerged through this partnership that there are natural operational, financial and fleet synergies and new opportunities in this market from essentially combining the skillsets of two iconic operators from two separate state markets,” Moloney said.

Well, a turn of events. Typical for aviation just in time for the Easter holidays.

AustJet have been grounded as there is now no chief pilot....
