new BNE/USA west coast direct service
it seems FJ will be operating BNE/LAX direct(via NAN) from later this year, now that they have ordered a new A332. Not sure how many days a week, but will surely give VA & QF a run for their money, especially when QF 787 comes online with less seats than 744.

Never understood how anyone can say going XXX-YYY direct (via BBB), surely as soon as you land somewhere before your destination you're no longer going "direct"?
"Yeah I had a great direct flight Sydney to Melbourne via Darwin"! Yeah, right. :p |
FJ already does BNE to LAX (direct via Nadi)!
The FJ fares would need to be cheap to justify a stop-over to compete with the VA & QF non-stop. |
Old poster with a new handle not so far removed from his old.....

Never understood how anyone can say going XXX-YYY direct (via BBB), surely as soon as you land somewhere before your destination you're no longer going "direct"? Now, with so many more worldwide point-to-point services, at any airport you'd be hard pushed to find passengers wandering about, holding transit cards before re-boarding their "direct" flight. Accordingly, perhaps there's less demand for such specific terms. |
I'm ex ground staff.
As many have said;'non stop' is non stop. 'Direct' means same flight number, no limit on how many stops, no limit on how many aircraft types. |
