TT 737 Fleet

I'm hearing all 737 fleet for TT and getting added to VA pilot list any truth to this ? and if so what's the benefit for anybody either in VA or TT ?

morno 7th Jun 2016 01:41

No and No......

Break Right 7th Jun 2016 02:42

Yes and yes.

If it did happen, why would it be any different to the 'Y' integration lists previously used. Each side is then protected and new guys are at the bottom of both lists.

Berealgetreal 7th Jun 2016 03:57

Benefit? Ask the VARA F50 guys.

The joint list allows people to move around as life and needs change. What seems unpalatable today turns out to an be an option tomorrow. You never know what can happen in life or where you might end up.

But by far the greatest benefit is when a fleet/company is scrapped and redundancies are looking likely. With a joint list it's unlikely someone more qualified (type rated and current) will be hired from outside whilst you are on the phone to your bank manager.

Unpredictable industry, having options is a good thing.

Expect an announcement shortly on A320 and A321neo.

A321LR is going to be a great machine, especially Aus-Asia.

Really? Haven't VA already ordered a bunch of MAX's? Or do you mean more 320's for TT and no consolidation between VA/TT?

jibba_jabba 7th Jun 2016 05:43

..........

kirkbridge 7th Jun 2016 06:54

321NEO? Tell him he's dreaming.

Confirmed that TT on the bottom of the list. VA pilots to have priority over TT 737 positions.

Happy Christmas

Ha, wind up alert.......

You got it right....va dreaming....

Going Nowhere 7th Jun 2016 07:17

Aren't the TT 737 flights flown by VA pilots anyway?

jibba_jabba 7th Jun 2016 07:18

not for long aparently

aintsaying 8th Jun 2016 00:05

So you are saying VA has finished its fleet review. You are saying that TT will become an all 737 Fleet.
So when will VA take over the maintenance of the TT fleet?
When will VA take over operational functions? Example: MOC?Planning?Scheduling? etc?
Will VA get those TT aircraft parked in Alice Springs back into service?
This sounds interesting.......

wheels_down 8th Jun 2016 02:01

Indigo are soon to drop 12 A320s back to Tiger after the short term leases end.

These were all new aircraft, these are replacing end of leases in Singapore and Australia.

Octane 8th Jun 2016 02:42

My bro is a VA Captain flying TT (737) aircraft for the time being. The problem is apparently lack of TT crew interest in converting to the 737. He's not too concerned, enjoys his Bali jaunts as you would!

PoppaJo 8th Jun 2016 05:25

Lack of interest no surprise....

Majority of Tiger Pilots are heavy on Airbus Time, would probably be more attractive options in Asia than sinking to the bottom of the 737 list.

A330 opportunities would probably change that...

Summer Lovin 8th Jun 2016 05:56

Apparently it's written into the Tiger EBA that existing FOs will have command priority to guard against expansion and amalgamation. The FOs are looking at a very rosy future indeed! Good luck to them.

Capt Fathom 8th Jun 2016 11:59

Where is BNEA320?
