Skippers EBA

Has the EBA been voted up yet? Anything been achieved?

Soar2384 20th Jul 2013 06:02

Industrial action pending?

bazza stub 20th Jul 2013 10:43

Two words:

They are advertising for crew across there whole fleet. Is that due to expansion or are pilots leaving for other jobs ?

The Green Goblin 21st Jul 2013 10:13

And if the pineapple or the vaseline doesnt scare you, they will set the python on you :)

Pilotshumornetwork 21st Jul 2013 12:54

Are they only hiring if you have an endorsement on type?

Berealgetreal 21st Jul 2013 20:54

Will be interesting to see how this one pans out given the supposed wind down of the mining boom.

So for those over there in the west what is the word about the mining boom winding down? Is it happening or not? Have you noticed any changes?

During the boom I recall a sudden overnight increase when Network doubled their wages due to a mass exodus to majors. Long time ago now.

Iracus that's one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I'm still getting laughing milage out of that after an hour.

bazza stub 7th Aug 2013 02:30

So any news?

Anybody joined a union ? or are you all worried about upsetting the boss :ugh:

Good luck to you if you haven't

CruzFL400 12th Aug 2013 11:50

There's plenty in the union... Bit hard to negotiate when the company has no intention of even listening to what has been put on the table :ugh: Its not a nice place to be!

CruzFL400 13th Aug 2013 12:49

As far as I'm aware the AFAP is negotiating on behalf of the pilots....

kellykelpie 13th Aug 2013 13:13

Skippers use to be THE company, back in the day. I'm talking Ann Marie, Dave Kirk' days. It went down hill very quickly in 1995/6 and doesn't seem to have recovered....

Skippers EBA

So is it over yet? Surely it must be by now. I heard that out of the six guys who became committee members, only two remain with the company!

metrodashbrazconkie 24th Oct 2013 04:43

For those lucky four, it is certainly over.

And that is how it will always be with Skippers, your conditions only improve when you leave for less brown pastures :ok:

Anthill 24th Oct 2013 07:12

Slam click, AFAP is pretty hopeless at representing pilots in comparison to the TWU. Talk to the guys at Skywest or Cobham about the gains that they have had since they affiliated with the TWU.

Berealgetreal 24th Oct 2013 12:20

Pardon my ignorance but what is TWU?

sleeve of wizard 24th Oct 2013 16:25

Transport Workers Union :ugh:

Buttscratcher 25th Oct 2013 08:04

Yeah...... You know Bob Hawke, right ?.... Well he used to have something to do with them until he........

........ Nah, the TWU are great, I guess...

.....aren't they?

Berealgetreal 25th Oct 2013 09:44

Cheers. Yep recognised them from the ground dispute a few years back didn't know they did pilots. What sort of loss of licence do they offer. Went looking couldn't see anything there.
