QF8 Return to LAX
 

Hi All

Any info on what happened to the QF8 out of DFW today?

A friend has just contacted me after 5 hours into the flight they landed at LAX with Fire Trucks around the aircraft and have been transported to hotels. Did not get much of an explaination from crew about it by the sounds of his questions

Heard it was a fumes event.

If they were 5hrs into things wouldn't they divert to hawaii?

According to Flight Aware, no where near Hawaii!:ugh:

QF8 shown on Flight Aware as DFW to AKL ???

That's happened a few times over the last 6 months from memory.
