Bomb threat. Landed R34 1458.

Noticed it tracked down R27 after arrival.

Persons with real intent do not make threats. But this sort of event allows the govt justify screwing us over.

You have to admit that it's a s:mad:t act though. I have a real hatred for grotty little bullies who turn up at the airport or get on an aircraft and start throwing their weight around making threats and scaring fellow passengers, even though they're 99.999% likely to be BS.

Maybe a reintroduction of the stocks might be an effective deterrent, they could be placed within tomato throwing range of the security screening queue. There could be a special set for Dirty Harry wannabes from the OTS...:E

Yeah Warrals, people like this should be publicly humiliated and punished to the max. Not because they are a threat to aviation security but purely because they are too stupid to be allowed anywhere near an aircraft much less travel on one.

Employees in most industries that deal with Bulk Public have to listen to endless abusive complaints, threats of violence and tantrums from a minority of members of the public and smile sweetly while they are verbally and sometimes physically abused.

Modern business practice calls it 'customer service skills'. :yuk: Apparently it's unacceptable for staff to call :mad:wits :mad:wits. A bit un PC, because it's not their fault they're :mad:wits. As children they were once denied a second helping of icecream, so they're irretrievably scarred for life and we all need to Understand them. :rolleyes: Meanwhile all the decent people in the queue fidget nervously and hope they won't have to either 1. wait too long or 2. cop a spray from the 'disadvantaged' bullying brat.

In aviation, when some douchebag fronts up full of self entitlement, rum and bad manners and starts throwing their weight around making threats, we're allowed to punt them off to the AFP as a security threat. Are they a security threat? Probably not, but let's cherish the oportunity. :E

Gotta love the reporting on the Mauritius story. A fully loaded A340 with 180 people on board. I don't know much about A340s, but figure it would be a big plane and would do at least 30 seconds of research before using the phrase "fully loaded".

You're worried??? I was at the centre! The bomb-parking area is actually a decent distance away so you have nothing to worry about. But we get an awesome view from the back of the learning academy. Atleast it kept us occupied during a slow afternoon, watching emergency services running back & forth. The reason why they taxi'd down 27 after landing was because they obviously had to close the runway that the plane was parked at, and there was such a massive wind that 27 was useless anyway. Just reviewing audio tapes, crew state a swepps bottle found in the rear galley with BOMB written on it, relocated that bottle to the 4th rear right door.

You obviously haven't seen the typical MK passengers luggage. Expect to see 5 Plasma TV's, 3 lawn mowers, 1 motor bike, 2 bbq's, 1 kitchen sink, aisle 13 from Bunnings, and aisle 7 from Coles. And that's just the carry-on.

Hope the powers to be will be taking fingerprints on the item that was found, as lately we have security audits on airlines were the security personel plant items on the plane, and then rate the airline accordingly......LHR is a classic example

Capt. I am just saying that you should never assume malicious intent when a good old fashioned F:mad:k up will explain the situation, especially when AVSEC is involved.
Of course no-one would intentionally leave a training decoy on the plane after a dog training exercise, but when a foreign object turns up in the galley just after departure, it's one of the most likely scenarios that spring to mind.
if this bottle ends up having traces of ammonium nitrate on the label and the training room is missing a prop, then the puzzle will be solved.

Your scenario, whilst possible, is way out there. It would involve a lot of people not doing their job.
