Work With Us

Never heard of this mob before, I always thought Tiger and Jetstar Cabin Crew were directly employed.

skurgler 5th Jul 2011 02:20

They assisted CASA as outside consultants to audit and recommend the approval of Tiger's start up as CASA was under resourced at the time,

Jethro Gibbs 5th Jul 2011 02:48

bottom feeders As are so many :ugh:

VBPCGUY 5th Jul 2011 17:25

Okay thanks, as I say until they were mentioned in news article to do with the Tiger grounding I had never heard of them.

Yawn 5th Jul 2011 20:56

Great professional people

Some time again I contracted to them as an auditor.

A very, very professional outfit. They specialise in regulatory compliance and IOSA audits. These are not Micky mouse qualifications to achieve.

I could not fault them as an organisation or as people. Very friendly and very professional co-workers.

I cannot comment on the Flight Attendant part, as I don't know and this was after I worked for them.

The full time guys end up doing a lot of international travel as they seem to be well thought of overseas.

thats what jetstar are offering and it doesnt sound that great...through my interviews with other airlines , i noticed a lot of cabin crew for jetstar applying and wanting out ..they didnt speak highly of jetstar. from what tiger airlines told me, they are desperate for hours to be filled so as cabin crew we can work as much as we like, so so they said, thats why i prefer them over jetstar

Casual Cabin Crew Positions

You must be available to work 15 days per calendar month including 4 weekend days.
That requirement is not "Casual Employment" under current IR legislation - it is Part Time employment. There are significant differences.

Whiskery 13th Jul 2011 22:18

No different to any other Aviation Consultancy Company. That's why there are so many these days. There is another thread running where I see Rishworth is now recruiting A320 Pilots for Jetstar NZ. It's very much the norm now so get used to it!

elrehab 14th Jul 2011 04:11

no its not part time employment. with part time employment you are guaranteed sick leave, annual leave etc..and jetstar doesnt pay that...so its casual !

The Kelpie 14th Jul 2011 04:15

Elrehab

Doesn't mean they shouldn't be paying those things. Irrespective of what the signed contract says. It would be interesting if someone challenged the contract with Fair Work Australia on the basis that the work patterns do not reflect casual in practice.

Bottom FEEDERS this mob:mad:

PoppaJo 14th Jul 2011 10:19

They are applying for casual work, clearly they go in not looking for a full months work. Alot at Tiger under this mob are also studying at Uni part time.

Jethro Gibbs 14th Jul 2011 10:29

Isn't 15 working days about the norm? Everyone I know works approximately 15 days per month, do the sums. 15 days x 12 months x 5 stick hours = 900 hours!:ok:

Tangan 14th Jul 2011 12:01

Howard you forgot about your 6 weeks leave.?????a

Computers are so smart these days.

Palony 30th Jul 2011 11:15

You have it wrong

You have to nominate a minimum of 15 days per month, so you can work more days if you want. I went for interview for Jetstar crew and found Altara very professional. Didn't get through but will keep trying.
