Oh I like the "call for price" for the 727-100F!!!

Exgolfer 20th May 2009 05:20

HL be doing well do get those prices for them. Where are all these hiding ? Bris, Perth , Jakarta, USA.

Skystar320 20th May 2009 05:46

The aircraft?

Perth, Brisbane

gas-chamber 20th May 2009 06:16

These old birds may never fly again. Their value as is where is would be very little because so many are on the market. A good Chieftain is worth more than the best one and two Chieftains worth more than the entire fleet.

Exgolfer 20th May 2009 06:48

True , their price has gone rock bottom with so many on the market. Also some of these Aircraft may have already left aussie shores to collect dust in a cheaper location till sold off.

Crew rest. 20th May 2009 06:54

None in BNE. I thought one was in Jakarta...

Skystar320 20th May 2009 07:05

What is it doing in Jakarta?

Gnd Power 20th May 2009 07:19

Believe it was VH-OZD that went to Jakarta for a "c" check. Some mention of a lap joint being due, but bit third/fourth hand info there.

VH-OZX probably still in PER, another one was there as well doing well as a christmas tree giving parts to the others.

Haven't heard about the fourth.

BTW Is Hevilift still operating or did they go under as well?

Pole Vaulter 20th May 2009 08:09

3 are in Per and OZD in Jakarta as previous poster advised for C check. OBN in Per with only one engine and one of the others has no hours left on the undercarriage. Cant see any of them going anywhere in the near future. Heavylift operated a flight out of BNE this morning.

Gotta hand it to Stoddart, the timing to get out was purrrrfect!

Gnd Power 20th May 2009 09:32

Whiskery

A very famous Aussie once said...... "You only get one Alan Bond in your lifetime, and I've had mine".

Maybe Stoddard chuckled a similiar line.

Putting on the serious hat though, met and dealt with some great guys/girls at OJ, hope it works out for you all.

I understand the last salary day for NL staff is today.

angucci 20th May 2009 10:00

Im sorry, the staff have not been shafted from day one. If you ask me, NL is the one that got shafted. He bought this business with incompetent management that I believe did not have his interests at heart. Day after day he kept on hitting brick walls, but he still soldiered on regardless. No thanks to those English Gits thats for sure. Im sure they are happy now.

Gnd Power 20th May 2009 10:28

(an)gucci

To suggest that the owner of the company (it was only 4 X 737-200 FGS) got shafted by his managers simply indicates that the boss failed to manage.

Business 101......the buck stops at the top!!!

Exgolfer 20th May 2009 10:40

Yes the buck stops at the Top.
Managers were hitting road blocks trying to get things done:ugh: , lots of good people there

Travel plans in disarray as OzJet grounded
20th May 2009, 16:45 WST

Passengers at Perth Airport are furious after their travel plans were thrown into disarray today.
The effective grounding of OzJet’s operations in Perth over unpaid airport charges has affected thousands of Bali holiday makers.

The grounding of the airline, which operates to Derby and twice weekly Bali charters for IndoJet, is due to unpaid airport charges.

Perth Airport chief executive Brad Geatches told thewest.com.au that it would not process its passengers because the airport was owed more than $200,000 in back payments.

Perth Airport staff today helped ground-handling agents who were left to tell about 70 passengers their travel plans were in limbo.

Passengers were furious that there was no representative from IndoJet in attendance and that they had not been phoned with the news.

Late today Indojet’s website was still accepting bookings for flights on OzJet aircraft.

Devastated passenger Chelsea Dyer said it was very unfair and extremely unprofessional behaviour.

..guggi

your friend NL brings to mind the thought of little kids and train sets.

Norfolk started the thought, ........todays "The West" Bali article reinforced it.

Heavy Cargo 20th May 2009 11:38

G.P. I know Indo Jet owe Oz Jet $ 2 million AUD.

I also know HeavyLift paid the staff today and paid for Alliance charters.

the wizard of auz 20th May 2009 11:52

Reported on the Television news tonight. Perth Airport owed several hundred thousand dollars. Ozjet blaming the whole breakdown of the business on CASA's failure to extend their AOC for their Cargo operations.

SRM 20th May 2009 12:06

Ahhhhhhhhhh Nick sorry I mean Heavy Cargo you are back is it all true what they are saying or it all bs.
