Go Dons!!!

Keg 25th Apr 2009 07:24

That's got to be about the most tenuous link to aviation that I've seen but what a cracker of a game! Good to see that the team playing Collingwood won. Even better that they beat them in the last ten seconds of the game. Hopefully that'll do some real psychological damage to the Pies. :E

WalterMitty 25th Apr 2009 07:33

they are already psychologically challenged , though not as bad as their fans.:{:{:{:{:{

Mr.Buzzy 25th Apr 2009 09:17

Bugger Off!.....Pies were robbed.... What is with a 30 minute last quarter???

Well done Bombers, to play that hard when looking at that time on the board took real mental strength. The best game I've been to!:ok:

bbbbbbbbbbbbbbzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Buster Hyman 25th Apr 2009 10:15

I was at the drawn game all those years ago Buzzy & I thought that'd never be topped...even watching the replay, I still don't know how they won it!!

Whiskery 25th Apr 2009 10:23

Congrats Buster. A top game.

When are Eddy and Mick going to realise, if you criticise the Umps they will make you PAY!!!!

Fliegenmong 25th Apr 2009 10:33

Crirtise the UMPS in Collins street, no need to try to export this rubbish to the great nation of Australia!!:ugh::hmm:

genex 25th Apr 2009 10:55

Keg...

"...tenuous link to aviation?'

Have you no heart? No sense of history? The mere name Essendon is right up there with the front rank of foundation stones of Australia aviation....

It was a great game....Lovett reminds me so much of Michael Long....but that last two minutes was a bit too much of a heart stopper....hope the Club puts the game on DVD

Go Dons!

Go Bombers!!!

The best post I have seen on PPrune for a while!!!!

GO BOMBERS

Eastwest Loco 25th Apr 2009 11:32

I barrack for 2 teams.

The Mighty Blues and the team that is playing Collingmaggot.

Damned good game to watch and the favoured result for 90% of all supporters.

Do you know the difference between a Collingwood chearleader and a bowling ball??

You can only get three fingers in a bowling ball.:E:E

Best all

Ah Whiskery, long time no read!

Good to see the regular "punching above their weight" continues in this fine ANZAC day tradition. Really thought the pies had it towards the end.

Nice touch with the banner I thought as well.:ok:

Diesel Fitter 25th Apr 2009 12:13

Great ANZAC Day thred

Great thread Buster. :ok:

This family's young digger was out from 4am to noon in his polys then spent the afternoon until the nailbiting final siren in his Bombers jersey.

Watch the Bombers fly up, up....................

Bumpfoh 25th Apr 2009 13:08

Go Bombers??

Agreed any team beating the Pies deserves kudos it was a "riveting" (another loose aviation reference) contest.

Better than the one I just attended at ETIHAD (there's another one) Stadium which if you're a North Melbourne supporter was absolute rubbish.:{
Yes thats right the team that beat the mighty BOMBERS last week!!!!!:E

Capt Claret 25th Apr 2009 22:01

Well, I know that The HAWKS can fly higher and betterer than the Bombers!

Feather #3 25th Apr 2009 23:10

And here was I thinking this would be about the Lancaster bomber reported flying in the Wollongong area for the Anzac day flyovers yesterday.

Silly me.:ugh:

G'day ;)

Buster Hyman 25th Apr 2009 23:52
