KC. KC you are spot on. There is not much dumber investment than airlines. Great hobby, job etc etc but dumb investment.

because it is probably cheaper and better to have an OWNED aircraft parked as opposed to a leased one, where you still have to pay a minimum hours per month.

And as with all the other airlines lease repayments are in US dollars, not a pretty transaction at the moment or for the forseeable future.

By owning the airframe the only exposure to exchange rates will be the engines & parts and insurance, all of which will be pretty low if the aircraft is parked.
