I understand the company had trouble enough trying to get the ATR in, so I hope the new management gets its act together if they're planning on introducing yet another new type.

I'm a big fan of the Q400, but bringing it into a company with years of Dash experience has not been easy, so introducing into a Saab/Metro based outfit is sure to pose some unexpected challenges! Good luck!

Skystar,
What do base your ATR comment on, lots of ATR experience I suppose !.
I'd like to see a Dash 300 with 50 pob !!

I worked with an EU company who transitioned from ATR42 to Dash 8 aircraft, they found it far better economical.......

The Dash 8 / Fokker F50 can carry far more than a ATR42 in a hot n high scene

A new ATR is a very nice piece of kit. An old one can be a maintenance nightmare. Dash 8-300 is relatively simple, rugged, ages better. I think that pax and certainly pilots would like the ATR more. Accountants would probably prefer the Dash.

What did you do with them Skystar320?

ATR42-500 Vs D8-300

Haven't had much to do with the D8 300 but if it only needs 1300 metres and isn't WAT limited at MTOW up to 46'C, 50 pax, cruises faster than TAS285 and only needs a 14 metre wide runway and has passive noise reduction technology that can never break, JAR certified for single F/A, then maybe M****R should have had a closer look at it.
