Geez galdian, do you think the crew really would like to endure trial by pprune. The main question was answered by ff, are you the procedures police?

What TurbTool said.

TurbTool & fistfokker..

I don't see any trial here and as no crew member has been named or anything critical said about either crew it seems as though you are being a bit sensitive.

This is a rumour and information forum and we are talking about a news article.

You have said that both crew were informed and a decision taken to bring back the HI aircraft and not the Avalon aircraft....As with the 777 incident in LHR we are just asking questions.....thats what aviation forums are all about but if you just want to talk about the cricket or any other subject go ahead....

galdian 27th Jan 2008 02:13

What lowerlobe said. ;)

Lowerlobe, of course nothing critical has been said yet about the crew. That is because nobody but them actually know what they did yet. But as soon as it was posted here there would be criticism aplenty from all those more clever people with an opinion on it, as we have seen many times in the past.

Even reading the early parts of the thread I detect some pretty heavy anti-jetstar criticism, even before any real facts have been posted or made known. There is nothing defensive or sensitive in my response to galdian. It was simply a light hearted friendly response to another ppruner. I am sorry if you saw it any differently.

I also like the humour in galdian's response to ff.

I don't like j* and I don't work for em, but this is all standard stuff, seen better airlines do much worse.
Firstly at least they communicated in time before they landed in HI, at least someone was there to do that and sounds like they made some good logical decisions.
Staff don't get that much time these days due to lack of info, then what actions to take?

Sounds like the rep just crapped on and tried to cover his ass without understanding the real justifications for the decisions that where made for J* at the time.

I would normally expect J* to just go on the merry way and land in HI in silence, then realize the **** their in and give the finger up to the pax once their stranded.

Someones thinking but probably not getting paid for it!
