Karaoke, dance-offs, beer and pizza at the in-flight pub will be among the attractions of the world's first low-cost, long-haul budget airline.
BackpackersXpress, the brainchild of Australian Glenn Millen, is set for a June launch, outfitting two chartered 747s with a pub, live entertainment and two enormous VB logos on the engine cowlings. http://www.backpackersxpress.com/ http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2003/...125710589.html Smileys on the nose and tail, VB cans painted on the motors... Is this for real? Whose operating the aircraft? |
Want to fly on Saturday ,after the Pommie Friday night bath, plus all those hairy arm pit european girls.
But a great idea and if young again would try it.Not sure if i could handle the heaving into spew bags after 20 pints though |
What happens when the dress code kicks in at 9pm and they ask you to leave? FL370 is quite a fall.

ITS ABOUT TIME.!!THE AUSSIE BACKPACKER MARKET HAS GROWN AND GROWN AND GROWN. LOOKS LIKE ALOT OF FUN.:ok:
|
well I suppose if its going to have a pub, then its part of Australian culture, there would have to be pub fights, and obviously as the flight proceeds, the "pub crowd" will need the flight attendants to turn into bouncers. However, where are bouncers going to kick the loud mouth P*ss-heads out too. Wouldn't do that job for quids!!!

Anyone remember the Captain Cook lounge in QF's 747 classics? Or Continentals DC10 "pub" aircraft?
Everything old is new again!:ok: |
