Oh god people still can’t understand financial reports…..A monster loss? Lol are you kidding me? QF have reduced debt by 3 billion since the start of the pandemic, it ain’t a monster loss it’s a technique to ensure they pay zero tax in the next decade, if you can’t understand basic economics maybe you should do some study. Monster loss would only be a term that Tabloid media use
Ahhh yes I recall the early Tiger days. Proving flight late November. Next option if we failed was Feb or March. Backup plan was crews on secondment to Singapore for a few months. Nice to have an option I guess.
Do these guys get paid ie all flight crews both front and back the longer it rolls on and on?

longtime reader, first time poster.
I got an email in July saying the Bonza was going to arrange a video introduction interview for me for their 737 flight crew positions. The email said the video interview would occur in the next week or so. It’s now September and I haven’t heard anything further and I emailed the recruiter to request an update but still no replies. Anyone else experience this or does anyone know what’s happening with recruitment? Thanks.

Second aircraft registered. Notable that their first hasn't moved since it arrived a month ago.

Interesting that this crowd can get their jets onto the VH- register before they arrive in country whereas Rex's -MFM has been here for nearly a week and still isn't on the register.

Rex have 120 aircraft on the Aus register including 6 737s, and have been in business for 20 years- are you really suggesting something is amiss in how they choose to go about registering number 7? Could be lease arrangements, could have to do with getting it into the right config- you previously expressed scepticism it was even going to arrive- do you still have some need to think it's not going to be flying for Rex when it's in country in their colour scheme?

Given all the hoop-la about the seventh aircraft being needed to meet the ever-increasing demand for Rex’s services I think it is interesting that there seems to be no urgency to get it into use. Also interesting that at the same time Rex was talking about increasing demand, they were cutting Sydney-Melbourne services by 15 percent with no additional services added elsewhere on the jet network.
Rex told the ASX that they would have their seventh and eighth jets delivered in August last year. So, to the extent I expressed scepticism about this year's announcement of the seventh jet arriving, it was based entirely on Rex's track record of announcing pending additions to their fleet to the ASX and then failing to deliver.
Separately, do Rex have 120 aircraft on the Australian register? Even with Pel-Air thrown in I wouldn't have thought it would be more than 80 or so in total.

I said I found it interesting, not sinister.

The first 6 738s came from VA and went straight into the fleet after a repaint
The 7th appears to have a different seating configuration, likely needing time to be rectified, so probably need to get this sorted prior to being registered in Australia
