Bendalot, I don’t think you’ve even read the whole article. If you had, you wouldn’t be posting it here.
I suspect an antivaxxer has pointed you to the article, and you’ve re-posted it here.
To achieve what? Not sure. I don’t think you even know.

The point I WAS making is that getting a vaccination does not stop you being exposed to any virus that the vaccine is designed to protect you against - people who worked on farms hundreds of years ago and right up until smallpox was eventually under control did not get smallpox - they were undoubtedly exposed to the disease but never developed symptoms because they were 'naturally' vaccinated by their constant exposure to cowpox which built up their immune response. What the hell do you think a vaccine is???? Basically a method of building antibodies against a specific disease.
Now, please regale us with your utter genius by pointing out precisely what was in error about what I wrote, since you are undoubtedly some sort of immunisation expert as you seem to be quick to put sh-t on anything anyone else writes.

I hate it when the anti crowd bring up Thalidomide.
Thalidomide was the product of an era in which testing, trials, information sharing and regulation was nowhere near as good as it is today.
It was because of that product that a system of safety was developed that gave us the safe and efficient medications and vaccines today.
How the thalidomide scandal led to safer drugs
That argument is the equivalent of saying “In the 1910’s and 20’s most aircraft were wire and canvas contraptions that had a high rate of crashing. Because of that the risk of a modern jetliner crashing could be the same, so people should avoid it”.
We are talking about two totally different eras and environments, bringing up Thalidomide as an example is pointless.

Well you obviously can because you've already left once but you're back already. You seem confused. Do you remember saying "Bye" and leaving? Good luck, Grumps.

Simply put vaccines save lives, but all vaccines have side effects.
Also vaccine derived viruses are real.
What are the possible side effects of the currently 23 different Covid 19 authorized vaccines across the World, and then the effects when several vaccines are used on the same subject (like the scare we had in Australia when they got the wrong second jab)?
Also who carries/carried out this testing/research?
Please only serious reply's, they are honest questions.
The inactivated virus vaccines used widely (in what we call Third World countries) would have possible mutation abilities the the no non used (terminated) polio vaccine.
National regulatory authorities have granted emergency use authorizations for twenty-three COVID-19 vaccines.
We all know Boeing got side tracked with delegation, is that happening again?

Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Quotes are great, so is history.
Boeing had Union Thugs and Disgruntled employees during several programs including the MAX.
Then the name changed to Whistle Blowers.
Todays name is Anti Vaxers - even if you ask a question and agree vaccines work.
I prefer the saying there is no black or white only shades of grey.
Self interest is a strong factor in thinking - that will never change.

Elevating Anti Vaxers to the level of whistle blowers is just plain BS.
I’m hoping for the government to stick to its promise of opening up when vaccination levels reach 80 %.
Then this stuff is going to sort itself out all by itself.
Pity it will be so hard on health care workers though………

Fearful ?
The only fear I have is that the contributors to this thread are professional aviators.
I sometimes fear they might be. But I hope not , and pray they are just hangers on .
Either way the credibility of this web site , that it once had , is in question.
How can it in any sense now be called a Professional Pilot forum ?

That carnage will be as expected or better or worse on the local current state of medical service in the area ( so mostly worse they are currently stuffed without COVID)
The following waves and variants will be far more interesting in the years to follow.
I personally am not anti vax, just want real answers and real data beyond the media hysteria. I run marathons, not ever been able to sprint. I have had a career not a job.
My current opinion is if you are in the risk group of med/high symptoms or work directly with them, get a jab but research what one that should be. There are 4 types and 23 different ones, 2 types are very vey new.

Fearful ?

Same as Dick Smith got sold many moons ago for $ but not the guy.
Everything now has a $ value, but currently less pilots do (and all aviation folk).
Sorry to break the news.
