Called CASA about my Medical Cert from an early December examination, the extension was about to expire.
They gave me the same delay story but, the Medical appeared in my inbox the next day.
They did say that they were able to offer another (?) extension if the current extension expired.

The current CASA PMO went on an AOPA webcast about a month ago
and asked everyone not to call Avmed to ask where their medical certificate was.
