A witness observed an aircraft fitting that description impact the sea. (compelling evidence)
A recovery vehicle has located and has video footage of the aircraft in question on the ocean floor (proof)
Can you provide links for those statements? I had never heard that they had found the wreckage. There were eye witness reports at the time from the Maldives of a low flying plane in the early hours but nothing about one actually crashing.

Pure speculation:

FO sent from the flight deck
Captain sent the aircraft dark
Captain went on oxy
Aircraft depressurized
Captain flew aircraft around Sumatra
Captain pointed the aircraft south
Captain removed his oxy mask
Aircraft ran out of fuel

You need to read the thread where I come in, these are examples of evidence, not related to MH370 or any aircraft for that matter

If the guy was keen to make a statement....get airborne, slight right turn and slam into the Petronas towers.
There's your statement.
No need to fluff around for hours carrying on like people are trying to make fit based on a few maybe's and what if's yet talk like they are reading from the black box.

This whole story that's been created is flimsy and will always be flimsy.

Whilst their may be some minimal 'reflection' of signals at V/UHF frequencies, there is nothing on HF.

Reads just like another conspiracy theory dressed up with a whiff of technology. Great work GT, as always
I'm not entirely sold on WSPR but there's quite a well compiled piece of analysis written by Dr Robert Westphal available here. Worth a read if you're interested. Westphal has claimed to have used WSPR to detect a variety of flights over the southern Indian Ocean and the Southern Ocean.

I'm the last one who believes in conspiracy theories, but in this case..............

Clearly I've got no idea what happened, but I do believe that "someone" knows where it is.

U.S.A, China, Russia, take your pick, but I refuse to believe that one (or more) of these players aren't watching the world 24/7.

Possibly it doesn't suit them to 'advertise' their methods or capabilities or even the fact that they watch that area.

One day, someone will tap someone on the shoulder and say "Why don't you got and have a look in this certain area" and a week later we'll hear "It's a miracle, against all odds the wreckage has been located!".

And the Captain's motive to do all this without wanting anyone knowing is?

really?Missing Peter Chong a close Friend of MH370 captain

PETALING JAYA: Peter Chong, the activist who went missing last week after he had narrated an apparent veiled threat against him, is a close friend of pilot Zaharie Ahmad Shah, captain of the Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 that mysteriously vanished three years ago.

Chong had vigorously defended Zaharie against speculations of possible responsibility over the incident in several interviews with international and local media, in the weeks after the plane disappeared en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8, 2014.

He had also attended vigils and other events dedicated to the 239 people who were aboard the missing plane.

In one photograph that had gone public, the two are shown together with Zaharie wearing a t-shirt which reads “democracy is dead”.

Chong’s family reported to the police on Saturday evening that they had not been able to contact him after he was seen leaving the house on the night of April 5.

In a Facebook posting on March 31, Chong, who likes to attend protests and candlelight vigils, had narrated how a motorcyclist accosted him earlier that morning, telling him to be careful as “nowadays a lot of people have suddenly disappeared”.

Chong, 54, had told FMT, in an interview published on March 17, 2014, that he first met Zaharie at a community event in Subang in 2012 and they soon became best of friends.

“He joined in as a volunteer and he was there cleaning and arranging the chairs,” Chong recalled.

“I realised that I had never met this guy before so I introduced myself. He told me that he worked with MAS and it was only later that I found out he was a captain.”

They were both also involved in political activism as Chong was then assistant to PKR’s Subang MP Sivarasa Rasiah, while Zaharie, a life member of PKR, campaigned for the party in the last general election in 2013.

In the interview, Chong also praised Zaharie, expressing his utmost trust in the pilot, describing him as a man who loves to share with his close friends the joy of flying.

“If I were to choose a pilot to fly me in the future I’d still choose Captain Zaharie because he is a responsible and honest guy,” he said.

The former Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) councillor had reportedly told The Australian that Zaharie would spend eight or nine hours a day helping in the election campaign when not rostered to fly.

Chong added that Zaharie was “angry at corruption and how the courts were being abused” to allegedly push politically motivated charges against PKR de facto head Anwar Ibrahim who is now serving a five-year jail sentence for a sodomy conviction.

In another interview with the BBC first broadcasted on March 10, 2014, Chong had recalled speaking to Zaharie about a week before MH370 disappeared, saying he appeared to be in good spirits.

“The whole nation and the whole world are waiting for answers,” he had said in the interview.

“What I feel cannot compare to what his family and the families of all the other passengers and crew are feeling.”

The same can now be said of Chong’s own family who are waiting anxiously for word on his whereabouts.

His disappearance comes in the wake of the suspected abductions of Pastor Raymond Koh, Amri Che Mat, Pastor Joshua Hilmy and his wife Ruth since November last year.

Clips from CCTV recordings showing Koh being abducted in a professional manner by a group of masked men on a public road in Petaling Jaya in broad daylight on Feb 13 have been widely shared via social media.

Chong had reportedly attended a recent vigil for Pastor Koh.

Electoral watchdog Bersih 2.0 had yesterday requested for an “urgent meeting” with the Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar over the mysterious disappearances of the activists

Foxxster, as I said above, don't believe everything you read on the Internet. Most decent Malaysians were against the corrupt government at the time, but that does not make them political activists. The line of thought has been used by many on the Internet to come up with a poor excuse for a motive to the mass murder suicide narrative. If you follow this line of thinking, then you have been fooled. The official investigation has concluded that there was no reason for the Captain to be suicidal. Stick to the facts.

I think you give them too much credit, I read a fascinating article by a senior intelligence official in the UK who said that people have been duped by Hollywood. Countries don’t have the ability to ‘watch’ the globe, satellites have to be tasked to areas of interest which can take hours or days to achieve position. There was no need to have surveillance over the Indian Ocean so it was unlikely ANY assets would have been in the area, he said we ‘live I a world where we can’t toast bread reliably let alone track a plane retrospectively’.

This sentence probably sums up the article:

"WSPR is very versatile and can detect flying aircraft under certain conditions and ionospheric circumstances. Further investigation regarding ionospheric influence on the process of aircraft WSPR detection is required.

So nothing 'concrete' again, just a bunch of Ham's experimenting and hypothesising on what could be. GT takes the bait again...

I don't know enough about the physics to weigh in authoritatively but there seems to be mounting skepticism about whether proper reliable detection via WSPR is possible. It seems like a stretch from such a low power, high noise-to-signal system that has myriad inputs and influences. I'm aware of the vast development effort that went into making Jindalee over-the-horizon radar a usable system and there were talking 500+ kW transmitters - WSPR is down in the milliwatt range. This approach feels like what radar might have looked like if it was invented by homeopaths but never say never I guess.

Of some concern is the explanation that as the March 2014 data was recorded close to the April 2014 solar activity peak (a once in 11 year event) the 'observations' aren't currently reproducible - always a concern when you're trying to validate an experiment. Time will tell I guess.

One thing I note about those who pour scorn on the ‘official narrative’ - they rarely present a coherent theory of their own, let alone any actual evidence to support their theories.

These people seem to believe that their ‘gut feeling’ (that there must be a conspiracy/cover up) is enough to ignore or dismiss what evidence there is.
That surely takes some arrogance

More from BS Central

Now this.

Typically validation involves at least one empirically known factor against which a theory can be tested. Here the author is validating his approach against his best guess of where an RNZAF Orion might have been; hardly rigorous. Maybe GT meant to write 'hilarious'.

This is as close to voodoo as you're going to get short of eviscerating a chook.

A very succinct rebuttal of the whole thing here -

There's the answer right there. The world has been looking for a 777 whereas it was actually an A350! The pilot was trying to fly an Airbus using Boeing procedures. By the time he had read through the manual and figured it out he was over the Indian Ocean and ran out of fuel.

They should be looking at one of those underground airbases in Azerbaijan.

Wow. This must be a fantastic new concept with a brand new technical term of an incredibly complex system.

Nuh, leaving a spelling mistake in a title is simply a sign of gross incompetence..
