Info for Author re Approaches into Sydney airport

Hi there,
need some info for a book i'm editing in regards to approaches on a commercial airline into Sydney. Mainly concern a northern or Eastern approach which would take you over Sydney's Centenial Pk/Randwick Racecourse area and give you reasonable visuals of such things as the racetrack, the SCG etc.
Is this an actual flight path route?
Any info would be greatly appreciated, as opposed to watching a few hundred amateur youtube posts of 'appraoches into Sydney airport'.
Thks in advance and stay safe.

Go to S for Sydney and all the approach paths are published.

An approach onto runway 25 is going to be the only approach that gives you even a half reasonable look at Randwick racecourse (it’ll be on the right side). You’ll see the SCG a bit further away but won’t be able to see much inside it (if anything). The aircraft would be between about 1200’ and 1800’ on final approach.

How you get to final for 25 depends on where you’ve come from! If you’ve come from MEL you normally are off the coast. Coming from BNE you turn left about Macqaurie Park/ Ryde and then over Frenchs Forest/ Dee Why about 6,000’ before turning and starting the approach from overwater. Pass over the top of Coogee about 2300’ or so.
