All well and good to have their domestic network up to pre covid capacity, Chinese always like to save face! What are the load load factors is what matters.

From this article, load factors around 70% from a pre covid level of about 85%. So whilst not the same the numbers are well on the way back to where they were.

Flight numbers are up, load factors are up.

Air fares slashed to stimulate sales.

From the article.

The article doesn't mention that the Civil Aviation Administration of China was heavily subsidising domestic flights at the start of the COVID crisis, and presumably still is. That is what is allowing them to offer the "all you can fly" deals and other crazy things that are artificially stimulating the market, and also allowing them to get capacity back up. Beijing doesn't care if the flights are making money, they just want to get the industry up and running.

I watched China on Flight Radar 24 regularly months ago when it was red hot there and everywhere, air traffic didn't stop at all. North America was greatly down, Europe, Aust and NZ nuthin. China, balls to the wall busy.

I wouldn't be surprised even before they released the virus in association with the WHO (nice little deal done under the table), that they already had
a vaccine all set, tested perfectly and never to be released outside of China. Check out their graphs now compared to the rest of the world. Check out
their behaviour towards USA, Canada and now us. They are just sitting back watching all other economies burn to the ground.
Their game plan is coming to fruition right underneath our noses. If this is way too radical then why are they behaving in a rogue fashion.
I think their is some merit in this.

Donít buy Chinese, if the other 6 odd billion people on earth stopped buying shit from China, the Chinese economy would fall over in 6 months.

Hey, I got a good idea. Lets do what we did after WW2.
Lets produce our own, lets manufacture our own, lets buy our own. Lets employ our own.
When you bought anything in the 1950s it didn't have made in China. I bet our grandpa's and grandma's can back that up.
It maybe a Trumpism though that's when Australia was great and becoming greater.
Remember 9 out of 10 cars were Holden.
T- shirts, tea towels, footballs, coffee cups, hardware parts all stuff made in Australia.
Employment boomed, we even had to bring in the Greeks, Italians, Yugoslavs to pour concrete.
Then came the cheap imports and stuffed us up.

Manufacturing that's a word we don't use much today.
It's the only word that's going to get us out of this deep recession.
Iron ore, coal, gas, grains, beef and wine well lets use them first
then sell the dregs overseas. Sure their will still be trade agreements
every country will pretty much tear up their agreements due to covid
and start from scratch. Thats my thought.

Why would have such a low opinion of WA , the Ozzies are more resilient than 5 minutes . At least a week then they would find other buyers like India , Japan , or Russia

The stockpiling of commodities might just be hedge against inflation, a power move to control future prices or a preparation for wider conflicts ?

The interesting question will be : When do you think international flying will be back to normal ?

How many accounts is that now, BNEA320? You must have a stack of sleeper accounts stored on PPRuNe.

When your whole so called civil aviation industry is government owned, of course there will be "normal" flight activity. The entire Chinese economy is built using smoke and mirrors. The sooner we break out of the China centric paradigm and stop sucking up to the CCP despots the better for us and the entire free world.

Ah, all those parked and stored aircraft I saw at Chinese airports and the clear lack of air traffic on the radio must have just been my imagination then.

Who cares? The only aircraft I want flying to China are bombers with Nuclear weapons to blow the shit out of the buggars for stealing our tech, stealing other countries land/sea, inflicting COVID 19 virus on us as a biological weapon. Time for China to pay!
