That's a sad Avalon Airshow. Been to a few good airshows. When I see YMAV I always think of my first impression back in 1975 (as a kid)
when dad and I stopped at the end of the highway to watch a Qantas B707 do about 10 touch & goes. Just brilliant.

Haha. So did I, but not at the end of the runway. In the mid to late 70's I used to love going down to play cricket or footy against Geelong Grammar, hoping that Qantas, Ansett or TAA would have aircraft doing circuits. Low level ops were great as they'd often pass almost overhead low & loud in a 727, DC9 or 747! Ten years later I got to do circuits in the 767 at Avalon; one of those nervous, exhausting events that you look back thinking "How good was that!"

Those few VA 332s at AVV will be gone in the next few weeks. They are officially surplus so lessors will now reclaim them and fly them to Europe or US for remarketing....good luck with your projects!

RightO , we’ll start by restating JINCUNNUT and NITWITWORK - these are the accursed company entities not the employees that work for them. If you are as thin skinned as you take personal offence, BooHoo 😭 , you should not be passing uninformed comment here and perhaps this aviation game is just a little bit too tough for you !
Since 1995 starting with the NJS BAE146, QANTAS Mainline pilots have seen an dilution and erosion of company generated flying being handed to contractors who engage their fight crew on lower wages and conditions. This has had a significant affect on mainline pilot careers throughout the years to bring ourselves to a point when 18+year A330, A380 and B747 F/Os at age 40+ now have no real security of employment let alone ever realising a command in their working life time with in QF. Consider your position, be it in Network, Jetstar ,Jetconnect, Et-Al and you may have some concept of the serious and very real position within which these very fine aviators find themselves. They were subjected to rigorous entry selection criteria and qualified for selection into QANTAS in a very competitive environment. These are not men & women who are thinned skinned and were brought up in a generation prior to that of “every child gets a prize”
So, if you are going to make comment, be mindful of the very fine individuals who have been negatively impacted for 25+years by QF Exec management perusal of the LCC subcontractors and realise when I (we) speak of these contractors, we have absolute derision and contempt for the entity which is ENTIRELY different and separate from the employees of said entities.

Hmmmm- interesting......

A comment on 'hanging together' through 'this' and storage by 'the sea'- results, with the foregoing spray, and is 'allegedly' the on-high font of all seeing knowledge.....

Loosen 'your' grip-

('a' dilution of..., perchance??? affect/effect- nar)

Indeed- and why is that/this, SO????, since 1995- is, that because 'the' Company can't match them (e.g.- QQ)- and then hence, facilitates the abhorrent behavior of which you speak.....??? (and No to you assumption)

No- not a booster of the Corporate structure and do-not have the time- settle, nobody would ever deride the staff, same with this VA disaster.

Keep the 'derision and contempt'- Will leave 'it' here- that is all.
Go and 'Bait' someone else- should you require.
rgds/& be Well yourself through this.

What’s your price? How low will you go?

With this COVID19 situation dragging on, we can expect to see the remaining airline(s) playing on the darkest fears of those who, at this point at least have a job to go back to.

How low will you go in order to save your job 20, 30, 40% pay cut, more? Less RDOs? Fewer conditions? Do you even believe the rhetoric after all the years of erosion and wolf crying from our CEOs? Are we at risk of giving concessions only to find the jobs are going anyway?
