Rumour on the street is that pilot tours have been cancelled, pilot contracts to be reviewed, no guarantee of jobs and things aren’t expected to improve (if they do) until next year at the earliest.

New PNG isolation requirements have essentially wrecked all PNG FIFO and international travel until further notice.

Yep, I’m hearing similar things. Locals have first dibs at keeping jobs, expats will only be kept if required, and only on full time contracts. And new contracts (at lower rates). I dare say it’ll be the current touring pay, but you work full time.
