Vale....Dick McIntosh ex AN

Passed away on 15 Feb. Captain on F27, Dc-9, B727, B767 and B747-300/400. If my memory serves me correct first aviation job was cropdusting. A down to earth guy. RIP

Ps. Bruce Dewar and Keith Wallace passed away recently.

Thanks Buzz and B772, I'd completely missed this, surprising since I had a lot to do with him during my Ansett days. I've been advised that he passed away with an aggressive brain tumour on 6th January. RIP Keith.

Showing your age Professor. I flew with Dick on the DC-9. Always enjoyable.

...Ahrrrr, goodness, Dick McIntosh and Keith Wallace...starting to lose my Ansett family...****!!...can't believe how time is slipping by...I flew with Dick on the 767 maybe 3 or 4 times, he was SYD based so didn't have many opportunities...but he was such an easy fellow to fly with, had a few laughs and asked him about the wisdom of going into a consortium of buying a MiG-21...but he assured me that its a going to be a goer...anyway...good luck I said, and it seemed to work for them...wouldn't have been easy with CAA/CASA to get on board...and Keith Wallace...Keith conducted my Clear to Line Check as an F/O on the B-737 VH-CZC...I remember the day well even though now over 30 years ago, down to LST in the morning hold over Devenport as LST was fogged in...anyway...hoping the day would go without hic-ups, and it turned out well after also going to HBA and up to CBR as well...so I'm very sad to see this...now looking at PPRuNe from time to time...brings me these bad tidings...sad...
