Lighten up on the crew in the 777 evac video.

It’s a training video designed to teach pilots the correct steps and procedures to take in the event of an rto and evac.

It’s not a demonstration of how quickly that particular crew can accomplish things.

On the baby Boeing the evacuation checklist is on the cover pages of the QRH. We were actively discouraged from doing it from memory.It is not a recall item , unlike when I first did my endorsement. Maybe an older Pilot reverting to what he was first taught many moons ago.
I’ve heard of that happening before , especially when procedures are changed.

On the 76 there's now an "Engine fire on the ground" checklist, to encourage crews to consider whether an evacuation is needed or not, and not just jump straight into it.
