I guess if the Jumbo wasn’t a popular choice, the charterer wouldn’t use them. But they continue to do so and they continue to sell out!

OK, I’ll go down another path. It is an Oz originating charter. There is only one company that can charter A380,B747,B787,A330. There is another company that theoretically do B777 or A330.
in the case of the former the only aircraft that they could competitively charter was a B747. Crew and aircraft availability come in to. Remember they used to do them in B767s, then B747 classics all based on aircraft availibility.
WRT the quiter cabins, all the noise is coming from the inside of the aircraft cabins.
