Yes and no.
in some locations you do require a Security License...because of the associated duties involved.

Dick Smith: We can make air travel so safe that there would never be any accidents, but unfortunately then nobody would be able to afford to fly, resulting in more people on the roads where there is a higher rate of accidents.
