Yeh both regionals are struggling with command upgrades at the moment, a lot of new FO's training meaning the other FO's arent getting enough flying time to meet the requirements, all having a flow on effect. If you cameto the turboprops with the 121 requirement already in place and an NZATPL, you may very well be left seat right on 12 months.

Hiya, I’m thinking of applying at Air NZ this year. I have 4000+ hours, 600 on turbo prop and the rest on the 737 NG. Can anyone give me a rough idea how the career path would be should I join their jet fleet? I’m a permanent resident with NZ CPL and am about to sit my ATPL’s. Would really love an insight into this if someone knows something.

Cheers fellas.
