What happened on RWY 24 at Perth today?

Apparently, the presence of some "debris" on RWY 24 required it become closed.

Unfortunately, RWY 21 was also closed at the time, undergoing works!

I believe they eventually decided to reopen 21.

It was a question not a statement.
The Capn wants confirmation it wasn't a dream.

I think he means a landing where the little old lady asks the flight attendant "have we landed or were we shot down?"

or "we've just struck oil!" (onya EJ).

Anyway, it wasn't like that at all. My effo even complimented me. I know, I know, "tell him he's dreaming".

Only 3 things I want to hear from a good effo, "nice landing captain" , "first rounds on me" and "I'll take the ugly one"

And that's probably why you're at the bar trying to tune the ugly one on your own wizard

Debris was the initial excuse given to inbound flights.
Seems a pavement failure was the more likely cause.
